Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Provide physical therapy services as planned and supervised by the Physical Therapist
  • Regularly confer with the Physical Therapist regarding patient progress and treatment plans
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of department equipment and areas
  • Report equipment issues to ensure proper function
  • Communicate patient needs and progress to the Physical Therapist, assisting with adaptive equipment procurement
  • Use adaptive equipment to enhance rehabilitation programs
  • Maintain and submit patient treatment documentation as required
  • Adhere to company policies, codes of conduct, and legal regulations
  • Participate in staff development programs and required continuing education

Requirements of the Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Must hold a Maryland license or a Compact license
  • Preferred skills include proficiency with Hchb
