Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active State PTA license required to start the assignment in Illinois.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
  • Experience in outpatient settings required. Experience with musculoskeletal and orthopedic cases preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with therapeutic exercise instruction, gait training, and use of common outpatient equipment such as therapeutic modalities, exercise equipment, and balance/functional training tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills using electronic medical record systems. Prior experience with outpatient EMR systems preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with PTs, aides, and interdisciplinary teams. Prior experience in fast-paced outpatient clinics is preferred.
