Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - $1,382 to $1,582 per week in Chandler, AZ

Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant in Chandler, AZ. You will work with older adults in a skilled nursing / senior living community setting, supporting patient mobility, functional independence, and safety under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role requires flexibility, independence, and the ability to manage patients with memory care needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current PTA license or PT license as required by state to start the assignment.
• For PTA applicants: minimum 2,000 clinical hours required; new graduate PTAs will not be considered.
• For PT applicants: new graduate PTs will be considered.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program or appropriate degree for PTs.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience working with older adults, geriatric populations, or memory care preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems; familiarity with Optima or Net Health-like systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in skilled nursing, outpatient within senior living communities, or memory care units.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing caseloads across multiple sites.
• Comfort managing challenging behaviors associated with late-stage dementia.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday with site split: Monday/Wednesday/Friday at one location and Tuesday/Thursday at the other location.
• Clinical productivity expectations: PTA 85%, PT 75%.
• EMR: Optima (very similar to Net Health).
• Orientation: Clinic Director onsite for the first week and available several days per week thereafter.
• Work is split between two sites approximately 15 minutes apart. Occasional floating between sites may be required.
