Make a real difference as a travel PTA in Moore, OK working in a skilled nursing facility. You will work with patients recovering from illness or injury, helping them improve mobility and function under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The role emphasizes evidence-based interventions, accurate documentation, interdisciplinary communication, and participation in facility meetings and trainings.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active PTA state license required at time of submission.
  • Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required.
  • Experience in long term care or rehabilitation settings required.
  • Must have recent skills checklist within 1 year.
  • Resume required at time of submission.
  • 0-1 professional reference required at time of submission.
  • New graduates considered only with Level II clinical experience (not solely Level I observation).
  • BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience documenting electronically in an EHR system.
  • Experience supervising or supporting students under PT guidance.


Assignment Details

  • M-F, 8 hour days. Times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with Director of Rehab.
  • Therapist start time requested before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM.
  • No weekends required.

Impacting Patient Care

Utilize evidence-based practice to deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary interventions per supervisory direction. Provide manual techniques, therapeutic exercise, ambulation training, modalities, and assistive device training. Assess patient progress, communicate with supervising Physical Therapist, document treatment and minutes per regulatory requirements, and contribute to discharge planning. Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings. Maintain adherence to APTA and state practice acts and professional ethics.
