Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active MA state license or ability to obtain required state license prior to start.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience working in outpatient settings preferred.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and assistive device training, including gait training, balance and strengthening programs.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel therapy experience.
  • Experience with whirlpools, ultrasound, TENS, paraffin, and therapeutic pool interventions.
  • Experience documenting patient progress in electronic medical records.


Assignment Details

  • Shift Pattern: 5x8.

Impacting Patient Care

Promote patient and employee safety by following established safety practices, including safe patient handling, infection control, and equipment use. Implement treatment goals established by the Physical Therapist and assist with interventions such as posture training, strengthening, endurance, balance, coordination, joint mobility, pain relief, functional skills training, and community re-entry. Train patients in use of orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices. Document patient progress and provide patient and family education. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and participate in quality improvement activities.
