Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active MA state PTA license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, TENS, hot/cold packs, and whirlpool preferred.
  • Ability to implement treatment plans and assist with gait training, strengthening, balance, and functional skills training.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel PTA experience preferred.
  • Experience working with assistive devices, orthotics, and prosthetics preferred.
  • Experience documenting patient progress in an electronic medical record preferred.

  • Shift pattern: 5x8.
  • Location: Auburn, MA (outpatient).

Impacting Patient Care

Provide direct patient care following treatment goals established by the Physical Therapist. Implement therapeutic interventions including posture training, strengthening, endurance training, balance and coordination, joint mobility, pain relief, and community re-entry training. Train patients in use of assistive devices and demonstrate proper guarding and safety techniques. Document patient progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members. Adhere to safety, infection control, and facility policies at all times.
