Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Florida PTA state license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Outpatient experience required. Experience with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, TENS, whirlpools, hot/cold packs, and therapeutic pool preferred.
  • Experience training patients in use of assistive devices (canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs) and in gait training required.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement treatment plans and document patient progress in an outpatient setting.
  • Ability to follow safe patient handling procedures and infection control guidelines.
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
