    Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute / Inpatient Care

    Racine, Wisconsin
    Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (March 22, 2026 – June 20, 2026)
    Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,468.63
    Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 Hours Per Week

    Position Overview

    Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a hospital-based acute care / inpatient rehabilitation setting in Racine, WI.

    The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of medical conditions, helping them regain mobility, improve strength, and restore functional independence. The therapist will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation teams to provide evidence-based therapy services.

    This role is ideal for therapists with acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience who enjoy working in a hospital environment and treating diverse patient populations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and reassessments
    Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and recovery goals
    Provide therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training
    Assist patients with gait training, balance improvement, and transfer techniques
    Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
    Educate patients and caregivers on recovery strategies and home exercise programs
    Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
    Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care

    Patient Population

    Patients may include individuals recovering from:

    Orthopedic injuries or surgeries
    Neurological conditions
    Cardiopulmonary conditions
    Medical or post-surgical hospitalization
    Mobility impairments requiring rehabilitation

    Required Qualifications

    Active Physical Therapist License
    BLS Certification (AHA)
    Minimum 2 years of acute care or inpatient experience
    Experience using EPIC EMR system preferred

    Scheduling & Assignment Details

    40 hours per week
    Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    Travelers must work 6 weekend days during the 13-week assignment
    Holiday coverage may be required depending on facility needs

    Additional Requirements
    Travelers may float within the hospital or to nearby facilities within a 40-mile radius if needed

    Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

    Candidates will be required to complete facility onboarding requirements including:

    Professional references
    Background check and employment verification
    Health documentation (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB screening, etc.)
    Drug screening and competency assessments
    Epic EMR test-out and clinical skills checklist
