Physical Therapist – Outpatient

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Day Shift | Onsite | Must be available to work until 7:00 PM two shifts per week
Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Design functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities and progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients; serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, development of learning objectives, and completion of student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; actively pursue continuing education and professional development
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Texas
- Experience performing 60-minute evaluations combined with treatment in an outpatient setting
- Ability to complete documentation, goal writing, and charge entry in compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards including safe patient handling and infection control practices
- Availability to work until 7:00 PM a minimum of two shifts per week
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations
