Job Title

Physical Therapist – Outpatient

Contract | 13 Weeks | Day Shift | Onsite | Must be available to work until 7:00 PM two shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Design functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities and progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients; serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, development of learning objectives, and completion of student evaluations
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; actively pursue continuing education and professional development
Required Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Texas
  • Experience performing 60-minute evaluations combined with treatment in an outpatient setting
  • Ability to complete documentation, goal writing, and charge entry in compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines
  • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards including safe patient handling and infection control practices
  • Availability to work until 7:00 PM a minimum of two shifts per week
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students in a clinical setting
  • Demonstrated involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations
