Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines.
- Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within applicable insurance authorizations.
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned.
- Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; actively pursue continuing education and professional development.
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 6 months of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and state practice act requirements.
- Ability to complete thorough clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
- Experience with student supervision and clinical education programs.
- Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives.
