Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
  • Complete thorough medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required for patient care
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
  • Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives and apply continuing education to meet strategic objectives
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Maine
  • Adherence to the state-specific Physical Therapy Practice Act and all applicable regulatory agency requirements
  • Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
  • Familiarity with functional quality indicators and clinical documentation systems
