Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday–Friday (Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
  • Design functional treatment programs that support effective patient return to community activities, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay.
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
  • Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional activities and organizations.
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Maine.
  • Adherence to the state Physical Therapy Practice Act and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
  • Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards of conduct.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students.
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiative participation.
