Physical Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (Travel) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-hour shifts, varied days including rotating Saturday coverage approximately every 4 weeks; schedule may include weekends, holidays, and call shifts

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive physical therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, including evaluation, treatment planning, and care through discharge
  • Assess and treat gait and transfer limitations, provide orthotic/prosthetic training, and deliver comprehensive wound care
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, and conduct ongoing evaluation of patient progress in collaboration with the rehabilitation therapy team
  • Provide direct clinical supervision of physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation technicians
  • Float to other like inpatient settings based on census and organizational needs, up to competency level
  • Participate in program development and outcome measurement activities in the clinical setting as requested
Required Qualifications
  • Active State of Nevada Physical Therapy license required; provisional license acceptable until full licensure is issued
  • BLS/CPR certification per American Heart Association (AHA) standards required
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy
  • Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, holidays, and call shifts as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an inpatient rehabilitation or acute care hospital setting
  • Experience working with a diverse patient population across age groups, including pediatric and geriatric patients
  • Familiarity with supervising physical therapy assistants and rehabilitation support staff
