Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient physical therapy services across multiple hospital units including orthopedics, neurology, trauma, and post-surgical floors
  • Evaluate patients' physical and functional status and establish individualized therapy goals
  • Formulate and implement treatment plans consistent with established goals and patient needs
  • Observe, assess, and document patient status accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary treatment team members regarding patient condition and progress
  • Supervise and assist therapy technicians and assistants in resolving clinical problems
Required Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (required for those licensed after 2016; those licensed prior to 2016 may qualify under prior licensure requirements with a bachelor's or master's degree)
  • Active Illinois Physical Therapy license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care setting
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office software
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience providing physical therapy in ICU or critical care environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
