Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Conduct 60-minute evaluations and 30-minute follow-up sessions in an outpatient setting, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
  • Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
  • Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned, including supervision, learning objective development, and student evaluations
  • Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, maintain professional licensure in good standing, and pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Colorado
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation, goal writing, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and applicable State Practice Act
  • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards including safe patient handling and infection control practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives in a clinical environment
