Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy services to a primarily geriatric patient population within an acute care, general medicine setting
- Manage high-acuity patients within a regional referral center environment
- Complete 4 weekend shifts per month as part of the standard schedule
- Float to other general medicine floors within the facility as needed
- Participate in emergency response protocols as directed by unit management in the event of an emergency event
Required Qualifications- Active Louisiana State Physical Therapy License (compact or LA license required in hand at time of submittal)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in the specialty
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address (as indicated on driver's license)
- No call-ins permitted; strong attendance and reliability required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience working with geriatric populations in an acute care or general medicine environment
- Experience as a travel therapist is a plus, though first-time travelers will be considered
