Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
- Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
- Support organizational performance improvement initiatives and contribute feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision channels
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapist licensure in good standing in the state of Iowa
- General orthopedic clinical knowledge and competency
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting
- Experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy students
- Active involvement in professional development activities or physical therapy professional organizations
