The Role
Our client is seeking two Physical Therapists to join their team in Lewiston, Maine. These are full-time permanent mid-level positions within a clinical setting offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to deliver meaningful, patient-centred physical therapy services to a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualised physical therapy treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based PT interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility training
- Administer physical agents such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and moist heat/cold therapy as clinically indicated
- Monitor and reassess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans in response to clinical findings
- Evaluate and recommend assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and home exercise programmes
- Direct and supervise PTAs, rehab aides, and support staff as assigned
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and payer requirements
- Maintain productivity standards and ensure billing compliance
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team including physicians, nursing, and case management to support optimal outcomes and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and departmental initiatives
Requirements
Must-Have
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy programme (Bachelor's, Master's, or DPT)
- Active Maine Physical Therapist licence or eligibility for licensure by endorsement prior to start
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification current
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience in rehabilitation or acute care physical therapy settings
- Familiarity with EMR documentation and multi-payer caseload management
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based practice
Compensation
- Base salary: $90,000 $100,000 per annum placement within range based on experience
