Contract | Days | 40 hours per week | 13 weeks | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Perform 60-minute evaluations and treatments in an outpatient setting, progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
  • Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs as assigned with appropriate supervision and evaluation
  • Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and completing all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas
  • Experience conducting comprehensive patient evaluations and developing evidence-based treatment plans
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation, goal writing, and compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and ethical standards
  • Ability to work within physician orders and insurance authorization requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations
