Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay and facilitating effective return to community activities.
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas.
Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
Proficiency in clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students in a clinical setting.
Demonstrated involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations.
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality of care initiatives.
