Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Conduct 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions in an outpatient setting, designing functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
  • Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory requirements, and actively pursue professional development through continuing education and professional activities
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Texas
  • Compliance with all state-mandated continuing education requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and ethical standards
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
  • Experience with clinical student supervision and mentorship
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
