Key Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy services within an inpatient rehabilitation unit, maintaining a 4:1 patient ratio across a 44-bed unit
- Perform stroke evaluation and treatment, manual therapy for neurological re-education, therapeutic exercise, and functional activity training
- Deliver neuromuscular re-education, self-care training, and functional electrical stimulation
- Utilize specialized equipment including Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
- Document patient care using the Meditech Expanse electronic documentation system
- Apply AIDET communication standards and immediate service recovery practices to support patient experience goals; may float to acute hospital setting when rehabilitation census is low
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or inpatient setting
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, including stroke evaluation and treatment
- Proficiency with standard rehabilitation equipment and documentation systems
- Active Physical Therapist licensure (or eligibility to practice in Virginia)
- Ability to work Monday–Friday with rotating weekend availability
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a Joint Commission Stroke Certified facility
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse documentation platform
- Experience working within OT/PT team-based care models
