Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
  • Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
  • Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required for clinical care.
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory agency requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing.
  • Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives and offer feedback through staff meetings, focus groups, or direct supervision channels.
Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Maine.
  • Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and ethics.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students.
  • Involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, or professional organizations.
