Interim / TDY Physical Therapy Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a hospital-based inpatient and outpatient physical therapy clinic, overseeing daily operations, staff development, and department performance
  • Provide direct patient care including skilled physical therapy evaluations and establishment of individualized treatment plans

  • Coordinate an orthopedic specialty field clinic, including screening and prioritizing referrals
  • Optimize department revenue streams and manage expenses to support financial viability; maintain compliance with all applicable corporate, state, and federal guidelines
  • Support medical staff and participate in interdisciplinary team functions, promoting a collaborative team environment
  • Collaborate with corporate teams to build and refine administrative processes and balance reporting, auditing, and tracking requirements with clinical demands
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Minimum of four (4) years of active, full-time patient care experience as a Physical Therapist
  • Current, active Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of Alaska
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and hospital-based physical therapy equipment including hi-lo tables, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation modalities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information effectively to diverse audiences, including individuals of different cultural backgrounds
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting
  • Experience working in rural, remote, or village-based clinical environments
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint for reporting, data analysis, and presentations
