Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Perform 60-minute evaluations and treatments, ensuring functional treatment programs are designed to support effective return to community activities
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations as assigned
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and completing all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Required Qualifications- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
- Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Proficiency in medical record documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling and infection control practices
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in an outpatient therapy setting
- Experience with clinical student supervision and mentorship
- Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
