Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Home Health Specialty: Physical Therapist Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of one year of experience required; home care experience required License: Current licensure and registration as a Physical Therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS certification required Must-Have: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program required; Master's degree or doctorate preferred Description: The Physical Therapist is responsible for planning and providing physical therapy services to patients in their place of residence. This is done in accordance with the plan of care. The Physical Therapist performs functions that require substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill. These functions are based upon the principles of psychological, biological, and social services. The therapist must be able to make judgments accordingly. This position reports to the Clinical Team Manager, Rehabilitation. The role operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Demonstrated knowledge in the principles of physical therapy is required. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills are also required. Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for this position. A current valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and reliable transportation are required.
