Job Overview
We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week contract assignment in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The PT will evaluate, plan, and implement rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence for patients in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, patient-centered care, and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient recovery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients to determine functional limitations and rehabilitation needs
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and pain management interventions
Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy teams
Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home exercise programs
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with facility standards
Ensure patient safety and adherence to rehabilitation protocols
Requirements
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license required
Doctorate or Master s degree in Physical Therapy required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
Previous experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred
Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
Ability to manage a full caseload independently in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, safety standards, and patient care practices
