A Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates, plans, and administers treatment programs to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability caused by injury, illness, or medical conditions. Physical Therapists work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and other healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, functional abilities, and rehabilitation needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and physician referrals
  • Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, stretching, gait training, and mobility programs
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and recovery strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Utilize rehabilitation equipment and therapeutic modalities safely and effectively
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and facility policies
  • Support discharge planning and continuity of care
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree preferred
  • Current state Physical Therapist license in good standing
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, rehabilitation techniques, and patient care standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
  • Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in acute care, rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing, or home health
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems
  • Specialty certifications in orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, pediatric, or sports rehabilitation
  • Experience treating patients with behavioral health or psychiatric comorbidities
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to assist and transfer patients safely
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform therapy interventions
