Travel Physical Therapist (PT) - $2,500 to $2,600 per week in Delano, CA

The ideal candidate will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, neurological conditions, and other physical impairments while maximizing mobility and independence. Minimum 1–2 years of recent rehabilitation experience required (inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing preferred).

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist with rehabilitation experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, neurological conditions, and other physical impairments while maximizing mobility and independence.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide physical therapy services in an inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation setting.
• Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Improve patients' strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and functional independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe mobility techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and case managers to coordinate patient care.
• Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge recommendations in the EMR.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or equivalent).
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent rehabilitation experience required (inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing preferred).
• Experience with EPIC and/or Cerner EMR is highly preferred.
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Current BLS certification (required).
