Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association approved program, or equivalent degree (Master’s or Doctoral acceptable).
• Current State Physical Therapist license for Nevada required prior to the start of the assignment.
• Proof of current CPR certification required.
• Current driver’s license with reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting required.
• Previous home health experience preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, prolonged standing and walking, and to safely instruct patients in use of mobility equipment required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally as needed required.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Home Health.
• Assignment Type: Travel.
• Start/End: January to April assignment window per order notes.
• Required Skills: Plan and implement patient care plans, perform clinical assessments, document Plans of Care and progress notes, order and adapt rehabilitative equipment, and provide patient/family education.
• Physical Demands: Heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, prolonged standing and walking.
• Clinical Experience: Must be competent to treat neuromuscular, neurological and orthopedic diagnoses and to work within an interdisciplinary team.
• On-Site Requirements: Must have reliable transportation and insurance to travel to patient homes.
