Job Opportunity – Physical Therapist, Acute Care – Chewelah, WA 99109Start Date: August 24, 2026
Location: Chewelah, Washington
Schedule: Day shift, 3x8-hour shifts (08:00 - 16:00), approximately 24 hours per week (0.6 FTE). Flexible schedule options include Monday-Friday, Monday-Thursday, or Tuesday-Friday. No weekends or on-call required. Patient ratios typically 1:5-10 with an average daily census of 5 patients.
Highlights:- Work in a 23-bed critical access hospital serving a rural community with lower acuity inpatient populations
- Collaborative interdisciplinary team including PT, OT, SLP, and comprehensive support services
- Treat diverse patient diagnoses including post-operative orthopedic cases, deconditioning, mobility impairments, and chronic conditions
- Opportunity to float to sister facilities in the region based on census needs and therapist capabilities
- Epic charting system with 20 hours of orientation provided
- Flexible scheduling with potential for increased hours during high census periods
Requirements:- Valid Washington state Physical Therapy license or Compact license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Acute care hospital experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
