Minimum Requirements

  • Current State License as a Physical Therapist for Virginia or ability to obtain before the assignment start date. (Required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association approved program, or equivalent degree. (Required)
  • Proof of current CPR certification. (Required)
  • Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance. (Required)
  • 1–2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. (Required)
  • Previous home health experience. (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of durable medical equipment and ability to order and adapt rehabilitative equipment for home use. (Client-specific requirement)
  • Ability to perform clinical assessments, prepare and revise Plans of Care (POC), document progress notes and phone orders, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. (Client-specific requirement)
  • Ability to perform patient/family education, instruct on transfers and assistive devices, and provide treatments for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic diagnoses. (Client-specific requirement)
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and perform prolonged standing and walking as job duties require. (Client-specific requirement)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally as needed. (Client-specific requirement)
