Job Title: Physical Therapist Outpatient Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Physical Therapist Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: 1-2 years required License: Physical Therapist required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS Certification) required Must-Have: Knowledge of medical terminology Description: This position will start at one location and switch to another location in July. Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities. Restore patient physical functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results. Determine physical therapy treatment goals and plans. Administer manual therapy and exercises. Instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing physical activities and in using assistive and supportive devices. Complete billing sheet accurately by the end of the day. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Perform patient assessment and establish a plan of care. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. Discuss evaluation, goals, and treatment with both patients and families. Participate in process improvement. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants according to organizational policy and state regulations. Excellent organizational skills are required. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems is necessary. Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the audience's needs. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving, case management, and communication skills. Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements is essential.
