Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 14-week contract assignment in Leeds, Massachusetts. The Physical Therapist will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to improve patient mobility, strength, and functional independence in a skilled rehab setting.
This role involves working collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient recovery, rehabilitation goals, and overall quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients to determine physical therapy needs and functional limitations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and mobility training
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab staff
Educate patients and families on recovery and home exercise programs
Ensure compliance with clinical standards, safety protocols, and policies
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Massachusetts or compact/eligible license
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or equivalent)
Current CPR/BLS certification (if required by facility standards)
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred in rehab, skilled nursing, or acute care settings
Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, mobility training, and therapeutic exercise
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and patient education skills
