Job Title: Physical Therapist Outpatient Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Physical Therapist Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1-2 years required License: Physical Therapist required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required Must-Have: Experience working as a physical therapist in a hospital, rehab, or ambulatory setting Description: Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities. Restore patient physical functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results. Determine physical therapy treatment goals and plans. Administer manual therapy and exercises. Instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing physical activities and using assistive and supportive devices. Complete billing sheets accurately by the end of the day. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Perform patient assessment and establish a plan of care. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. Discuss evaluation, goals, and treatment with both patients and families. Participate in quality process improvement. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants according to organization policy and state regulations. Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required. Master's degree in Physical Therapy preferred. Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred. Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent organizational skills. Familiarity with electronic medical record systems. Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Capacity for teaching others how to do something. Excellent problem-solving, case management, and communication skills. Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
