About the Facility Since its inception in 1934, this nonprofit acute-care hospital has grown and evolved in direct response to the changing healthcare needs of the people it serves in Monterey, California and the surrounding region. This facility features 207 staffed acute-care hospital beds and 28 skilled-nursing beds. Delivering a continuum of care from birth to end of life, experienced healthcare professionals provide such care as behavioral health, family birth and lactation services, sleep disorder, and a stroke services.
