Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapist Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 2 years Description: Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs. Performs initial and ongoing assessments of the patient's condition. Establishes, revises, and evaluates a plan of care that is appropriate to the problems identified and involves the patient and family. Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient's condition. Oversees activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Expected to work in a fast-paced environment with various conditions including neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and oncological cases as well as general medical. Engages regularly with the interdisciplinary team. Works closely with a large team comprising physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff. Provides real-time documentation and point-of-service care using electronic medical records. Training will be provided to prepare for clinical responsibilities.
