Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy Specialty: Inpatient and Acute Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the specialty field; 2 years preferred License: Current Physical Therapist License in Alabama, maintains active status with license in good standing. Certifications: AHA BLS or equivalent Must-Have: - Doctorate of Physical Therapy - 1 year of experience in specialty, or 18 months experience under a professional license - Ability to analyze patient data and determine treatment goals - Proficient in entering patient data into computer systems - Collaborative approach to treatment planning Description: The Physical Therapist will be responsible for completing all aspects of care for assigned patient loads. This includes evaluations and formulating plans of care. Collaboration with patients, families, and other disciplines is essential to develop effective care plans. The role involves performing therapeutic interventions and educating patients and families. Documentation requirements must be met as outlined by the department. Experience with geriatric, neurological, stroke, and amputation patients is preferred. Physical demands may include prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. The role involves the exertion of continual physical effort. Exposure to human bodily fluids and hazardous materials may occur. Common protective equipment may be required during job tasks. The position requires effective communication skills and a cooperative attitude towards colleagues. Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks is necessary.
