Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours per day, 5 days a week or possible 4x10's Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Must hold active license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work. Certifications: Maintain and update PT skills and certifications as necessary. Must-Have: Degree in Physical Therapy Description: Great opportunity for a Physical Therapist. The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Hold license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work. Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs. Utilize Electronic Medical Records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files. Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up. Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care. Communicate with physicians and other personnel to ensure quality patient care. Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, and authorizations. Ensure patients are comfortable and address questions when necessary. Collaborate with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up. Possess necessary computer skills to complete job requirements including typing and using EMR. Make independent decisions regarding patient care. Get involved in the business marketing and referral process when necessary. Follow HIPAA policy and procedures. Be familiar with billing policy and procedures. Be proficient in diagnosis and ICD-10 coding for the billing of services. Be physically mobile, including stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour workdays. Be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with patient mobility. Supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care. Work in a patient physical therapy clinic in an outpatient/rehabilitation setting. Expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with privacy policies. Failing to comply with policies on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action. May access protected health information only to the extent necessary to complete job duties. May only share information with those who need to know specific patient information related to job responsibilities. Encouraged to report any concerns regarding patient privacy policies and practices without fear of retaliation. Expected to actively participate in privacy training. Compliance with regulations is required. Physical demands include walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving continuously during working hours. The position is subject to lifting objects weighing over 50 pounds, pushing wheelchairs, and supporting residents. The employee must be constantly alert for patient safety. No travel is expected for this position. Continuing education courses are preferred for additional eligibility. Must hold an active license or plan to test soon in the state where you intend to work.
