Physical Therapist - Outpatient - (PT)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2145.00 - $2210.00

his Physical Therapist position is based in Dallas, Texas, a dynamic and thriving city that offers a blend of big-city amenities and welcoming neighborhoods. Dallas is known for its vibrant arts and entertainment scene, including one of the largest arts districts in the country, a rich live music culture, and a wide variety of museums and performance venues. Residents enjoy a robust sports culture with professional football, basketball, hockey, and other teams, as well as easy access to parks, trails, and lakes for outdoor recreation. Dallas offers a relatively affordable cost of living compared to many other large metropolitan areas, with diverse housing options ranging from urban high-rises to quiet suburban communities. The city features a highly developed restaurant scene with cuisines from around the world, strong school systems in many neighborhoods, and convenient transportation options, including major highways and a regional light rail system that make commuting manageable. The area’s continued growth and investment in healthcare and technology create an environment that is both professionally and personally rewarding. In this role, you will join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in a modern care environment that emphasizes evidence-based practice and patient-centered care. The facility is equipped with contemporary therapy equipment and technologies designed to support high-quality outcomes and efficient workflows. You will work alongside other physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, and medical staff, contributing your expertise to comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Typical responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, implementing therapeutic interventions, and monitoring progress toward functional goals. You will provide education and training to patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility and safety techniques, and strategies to maximize independence. Depending on the specific setting, you may encounter a mix of orthopedic, neurologic, post-surgical, and medically complex cases, offering variety in your day and consistent opportunities to grow clinically. A typical day may involve conducting initial evaluations, providing one-on-one treatment sessions, coordinating with physicians and case managers, and documenting care in the EMR system. Patient caseloads and ratios are structured to support both productivity and quality, with a strong emphasis on safe, effective, and compassionate care. Shifts generally follow a daytime schedule with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs, such as early morning or early evening appointments. Weekend or holiday coverage may be scheduled on a rotating basis depending on the specific department and patient volume. The culture within the rehabilitation team emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning. Physical therapists have access to ongoing in-service education, opportunities to pursue clinical specializations, and pathways to develop leadership skills. Working here offers the chance to build a strong professional foundation in a supportive environment while caring for a diverse patient population that can significantly benefit from your skills.
