Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Tyler, TX at a hospital where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while gaining experience in an orthopedic and some neuro patient population. The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing physical therapy care in accordance with practice standards and facility policy.


Minimum Requirements

  • Doctoral degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Current Texas Physical Therapist license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA only).
  • Experience treating primarily orthopedic patients; some neuro experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an acute care or hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to manage a 1:1 patient ratio with typical treatment cadence of one patient every 45 minutes.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
  • Experience with inpatient evaluation, goal setting, and reassessment per department or regulatory policy.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 0800 - 1700.
  • Work schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
  • Close early on Fridays; additional hour may be made up Monday through Thursday.

As a Physical Therapist in this role you will perform independent assessments, identify appropriate equipment and interventions, interpret results, formulate measurable goals, and reassess patient progress regularly. You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and appropriate use of resources.
