Minimum Requirements

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited program or equivalent required.
• Current Alabama Physical Therapist license in active status and in good standing required.
• AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification required.
• Minimum 18 months to 2 years of clinical experience as a licensed PT; must have at least 1 year of experience in relevant specialty areas such as geriatric, neurological, stroke, or amputation care.
• Experience working in inpatient and acute care settings required.
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed required.
• Must be able to perform physical job demands including lifting, pushing, pulling, ambulation assistance, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Ability to document patient care electronically and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams required.
• Preferred: Additional licenses in OT or SLP.
