Travel Physical Therapist — Corpus Christi, TX (Hospital)


Organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part. Plan and deliver therapeutic interventions including exercise, manual techniques, heat, water modalities, and use of mechanical, electrical, prosthetic, and orthotic devices. Evaluate, document, and report patient progress. Provide direction and supervision for physical therapy assistants, support staff, volunteers, and students. Maintain patient confidentiality and contribute to a safe care environment.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree as applicable).
  • Current license by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Examiners required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Acute care experience required by client.
  • Ability to interpret and carry out physician prescriptions per practice act guidelines.
  • New graduates accepted; experience preferred.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and the Guide to Physical Therapy Practice.
  • Experience supervising or providing input on performance evaluations for assistants and support staff.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 08:00–17:00.
  • Work schedule: Five 8-hour days per week.
  • Must have acute care experience.
