Job Title: Inpatient Rehab Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00-16:00 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required in your scope of practice Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Inpatient care experience required, but open to training/mentorship. Description: Hospital setting in an acute rehabilitation unit with 19 beds. Patient ratios are 5:1 for therapy to patient and 6:1 for nurse to patient. This unit is staffed by physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, clinical nurse coordinators, and patient care technicians. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Documentation is managed through an advanced system. Scheduling requires availability from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, which may include weekend shifts. Floating to medical-surgical units may occur if census is lower. Strong emphasis on good customer service, communication, and patient rounding. Experience with neurological patients is preferred but not mandatory. Procedures performed include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services. Dress code includes scrubs, without specific color requirements.
