Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00 - 16:00 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required in your scope of practice Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Inpatient care experience preferred but open to training/mentorship Description: The position is for a Physical Therapist in an Acute Rehab Unit. The unit has 19 beds and a patient-to-therapy ratio of 5:1 and nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1. Staffing on the unit includes PTs, OTs, PTAs, SLPs, RNs, LPNs, CNCs, and PCTs. The facility has state-of-the-art equipment. Documentation is done through a modern system. Scheduling is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential weekend shifts. There may be a requirement to float to med-surge if the census is lower. Good customer service, communication, and rounding are expected for patient experience. Advanced skills with neuro patients are preferred but not required. The unit performs PT, OT, and SLP service lines. Scrubs are the required uniform and are not color-specific. The team consists of very experienced staff that collaborates well together. There is low turnover and high engagement in both team and patient surveys. Outstanding patient outcomes have been achieved by the team.
