Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Licensed as PT in North Carolina Certifications: Required certifications must be current Must-Have: Outpatient and acute care experience Description: Client Client is seeking a Physical Therapist. The unit is comprised of a 60-bed acute care facility and two outpatient clinics. The team consists of 19 staff members, including PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and SLPs. The day shift consists of 3 PTs, 3 PTAs, 2 OTs, 1 COTA, and 1 SLP. The patient ratio averages 9-11 patients per day per FTE. Commonly used equipment includes PT modalities, a pool, cardiovascular machines, a Biodex balance system, and a fitness center. The electronic medical records system in acute care is CERNER. In outpatient settings, the EMR used is Nethealth Xfits. Preferred skills include orthopedic, sports medicine, spine manual therapy, vestibular rehab, and stroke care. Typical procedures on the unit involve therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, balance training, and gait training. The ideal candidate is team-oriented and outgoing. There is a rotation every fifth weekend, with only priority patients seen on Saturdays for an average of 2-3 hours. No Sunday visits are conducted.
