Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: 2+ years License: Licensed as PT in Client Certifications: Required certifications as per state regulations Must-Have: Outpatient and Acute Care Experience Description: Client Client provides comprehensive rehabilitation services. The unit consists of a 60-bed acute care facility and two outpatient clinics. The staff includes 19 members, comprising three PTs, three PTAs, two OTs, one COTA, and one SLP on day shift. The patient-to-staff ratio is 9-11 patients per day per FTE. Types of equipment used include PT modalities, pool, cardiovascular equipment, Biodex balance, and a fitness center. The electronic medical record system utilized is CERNER for acute care and Nethealth Xfits for outpatient services. Candidates should possess outpatient and acute care experience. Preferred skills include orthopedic, sports medicine, spine, manual therapy, vestibular, vertigo, and stroke rehabilitation. Typical procedures performed on the unit include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, vestibular rehab, balance training, and gait training. The ideal candidate is team-oriented and outgoing. There is a weekend rotation every fifth weekend, with priority patients seen on Saturdays for an average of 2-3 hours. No Sunday visits are conducted.
