Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
  • Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Outpatient physical therapy experience required. Client prefers experience with orthopedic diagnoses, manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and timely, accurate documentation, including goal writing and letters of medical necessity.
  • Ability to evaluate patients comprehensively and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans based on clinical reasoning and physician direction.
  • Ability to supervise and delegate tasks to therapy aides or assistants when applicable.
  • Maintain professional licensure and comply with state practice act and facility policies.
  • Preferred: experience participating in student clinical education and working within performance improvement initiatives.
