Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Florida PT license required to start the assignment.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
  • Willingness to work on an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) unit as required by the client.
  • Experience in hospital or IRF settings preferred.
  • Stroke and neurologic rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform evaluations, treatment, discharge planning, family training, and use adaptive devices and equipment.
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred.
  • Provider must be willing to adhere to unit policy of working one weekend shift per month.


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Hospital (acute care with IRF program).
  • Unit: Physical Therapy, Rehab Services.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
  • Patient Load: Approximately 4 patients/day on IRF and 8–12 patients/day in acute care.
  • Typical equipment available: two therapy gyms, Vector, LiteGait, ADL apartment.
  • Staffing: Team includes day-shift PTs; no night-shift PT coverage.
