This pharmacy is an integral part of a Cancer Center located within a medical center. Technicians play an important role in making and preparing critical IV medications to treat cancer and other serious illnesses. Technicians gain experience in pharmaceuticals, preparation of drug products, sterile technique, and innovative research products. Attention to detail and a safety mindset are what drive excellence on our team. Key roles and responsibilities include: Preparing intravenous infusions and sterile drug products, including cancer-fighting, research, and hazardous medications, under the guidance of a Pharmacist with technology support. Preparing or compounding non-intravenous drug products, including cancer-fighting, research, and hazardous medications, under the guidance of a Pharmacist with technology support. Following investigational protocols in the preparation of study medications and maintaining records of preparation, stability, and dispensing as required. Stocking and replenishing drug inventories. The position requires working Monday through Friday on 8-hour shifts. Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
